Master of Optometry exists because reading about National and actually doing it are two very different skills. This course closes that gap through direct, supervised surgical exposure. Participants work in small batches so every trainee gets meaningful console time, not just observation hours. Sessions combine ICO-OSCAR scored assessments, structured video discussion of recorded cases, and one-on-one feedback from senior faculty after every procedure. Graduates of this track consistently report that the structured feedback — not just the volume of cases — is what made the difference in how quickly they became independently competent. Batch sizes are announced in advance on a rolling basis, and early enrollment is recommended since seats at the flagship Kolkata centre in particular fill up well ahead of each intake.
